This is a simple blood test that confirms the gender of your baby from as early as 6 weeks gestation.

How it works 

A blood sample is taken from the arm and the sample is then sent off to The Sneak Peek laboratory in California for processing. 

Once the sample has been processed the Sneak Peek lab will email the results directly to you the customer. The results usually take 3-7 working days.

The test is actually looking for the presence of a Y Chromosome (the male Chromosome), so, if there is a Y chromosome present then, confirmation of a male baby is can be made.

On the other hand, if no Y Chromosome is detected then a female baby is confirmed. 

​

For twin pregnancies the test can only confirm if there is one boy, but if no Y chromosome is detected then it can be safely assumed that there are two female babies.
